We bring your vision to life by exploring your project goals and aspirations and present solutions using vintage wood structures and other reclaimed materials to turn your dreams in to reality.
We are pleased to offer the following services…
Reclaiming — Giving Good Wood Another Life
Reclaimed lumber carries something new material simply cannot reproduce. Years of use, weather, craftsmanship, and time leave their mark in the grain, texture, color, and character of the wood. At Midwest Lumber Company, reclaiming begins with recognizing the value that remains in these materials and carefully recovering them so they can serve another purpose.
We work with reclaimed wood that can become flooring, siding, wall cladding, hand-hewn beams, mantels, trusses, doors, and other distinctive architectural elements. Each piece is different, and that is part of what makes reclaimed lumber special. Rather than trying to make old wood look new, we preserve the qualities that give it authenticity while preparing it for its next use.
For customers, reclaimed lumber offers more than appearance. It provides an opportunity to build with material that has already stood the test of time—bringing warmth, history, and natural character into homes, businesses, renovations, and new construction.

Repurposing — Finding New Purpose in Every Piece
Not every piece of reclaimed wood needs to return to the same kind of use it served before. A beam from an old structure may become a mantel. Weathered boards may find new life as wall cladding or siding. Other materials may become flooring, doors, structural accents, or one-of-a-kind features created specifically for a customer’s project.
Repurposing is about looking beyond what a material was and seeing what it can become. Our experience with wood allows us to help customers evaluate available materials, consider different applications, and find practical ways to incorporate reclaimed lumber into both traditional and contemporary designs.
This approach is especially valuable for custom projects. Whether a customer arrives with detailed specifications or simply an idea of what they hope to accomplish, we can work through the possibilities together. The goal is not simply to use reclaimed wood—it is to put the right material in the right place and create something that will continue to be useful and appreciated for years to come.

Manufacturing — Crafted to Fit the Project
Quality material is only part of a successful project. It also needs to be properly prepared, manufactured, and finished for its intended use. Midwest Lumber Company combines reclaimed and specialty lumber with hands-on manufacturing capabilities to create products made for the specific needs of our customers.
Our work includes flooring, siding, wall cladding, trusses, hand-hewn beams, doors, mantels, and a wide range of custom orders. Because projects vary considerably, we are not limited to a small catalog of standard products. Dimensions, wood characteristics, appearance, application, and other requirements can all influence how a particular order is prepared.
That flexibility allows us to serve homeowners, builders, contractors, designers, and others looking for something beyond an off-the-shelf product. From a single distinctive feature to material for a larger building project, our focus remains the same: understand what the customer needs, pay attention to the details, and produce quality work we are comfortable putting our name behind.

Direct Ship — From Our Shop to Your Project
The right lumber does not always come from the supplier down the road. Customers throughout the country may be looking for a particular reclaimed material, specific dimensions, a custom-manufactured product, or the character that only certain wood can provide. Our direct shipping capabilities help connect those customers with the materials and products they need without geography limiting the project.
Orders can be prepared around the requirements of the individual job and shipped directly to the customer or project location. This is particularly useful for builders, contractors, designers, and property owners who know what they need but may not have access to the right material locally.
From our operation in Flora, Indiana, we can work directly with customers to understand their order, prepare the material, and coordinate shipment. Whether it is reclaimed lumber, finished products, or a comprehensive custom order, the objective is simple: make it easier to get the right material from our shop to the place where it will be put to work.
